Hace exactamente tres semanas, le celebre a mi hijo su primer cumpleaños. Pase meses (literalmente) pensando el tema y comprando cosas. Al final, creo que quedó todo lindo, y no fue tan estresante como otros eventos que he hecho porque me prepare con tiempo.
Escogí el tema bomberos porque mi gordo tiene dos carros que ama y uno de los dos es de bomberos. Vi varias ideas y esa me pareció la mas original que hacia fit con los gustos de mi hijo.
Mi esposo me puso un presupuesto,el cual no logre cumplir, pero no lo cumplí inteligentemente… Fui comprando una o dos cosas cada mes desde que cumplió 6 meses aproximadamente, así que aunque me pasé un poco, no se notó.
La mayoría de cosas las pedí por Amazon, compré los artes de la decoración en etsy.com, las invitaciones también y otras cosas las compré en un viaje a Guatemala, que hay lugares donde puedo conseguir mas barato que en Panamá.

El babygym lo alquilé a IndoorFun, los pastelitos los hizo Calicakes, el pastel de bomberos Ilimoncakes, los hotdogs y arcos de globos Smiles, y las mesas y sillas a Entretenium Kids.

Some weeks ago I celebrated my son’s 1st birthday. I spent months (literally) thinking abouth the theme and buying things. At the end I think everything turned out great, and it wasn’t as stressfull as other events I’ve done because I prepared myself with time.
I chose the them of fireman because my baby has two cars that he loves and one of them is a firetruck. I was addicted to Pinterest, saw several ideas and ended up with that one because it seemed original and it made perfect sense with what my son was into.
My husband decided on a budget, which I didn’t follow, but I did it smartly… I bought one or two things every month since he was 6 months or so, so I diluted the expenses.
Most of the things were ordered from Amazon, the arts I got them in etsy.com, invitations too and some other things I bought them in Guatemala (way cheaper than Panama).
I rented the babygym from Indoorfun, the sweets were made by Calicakes, and the cake by Ilimoncakes, hotdogs and balloons by Smiles, and tables and chairs by Entretenium Kids.
I loved the end result!
